Fresh install sendmail problems
 

Hello everyone.
I am always encounter the same problem when I reinstall Slackware.
Sendmail wont receive emails back.It could send emails but when I reply to them or if I send new ones to a user in my box sendmail wont pick them up.
I know there is a solution out there to fix this but I am stupid enough to not document it so I run always to same dead end.
I get this error in in maillog:


Jun 1 00:04:57 robotron sm-mta[4142]: k5174vZ0004140: to=<atrant@robotblues.net>, ctladdr=<atrant@robotron> (1000/100), delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=esmtp, pri=120415, relay=mail.robotblues.net. [myipaddress], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection refused by mail.robotblues.net.

Please help

Nevermind I fixed the problem.The trouble is in the hosts file.It justs appends the hostname before the domain name, so if you take host name off then it works just fine.
