12.1 is out

from the changelog:

Thu May 1 13:36:34 CDT 2008
Slackware 12.1 is released as -stable. :-) Again, huge thanks to everybody who pitched in and helped with bug reports, patches, testing, suggestions, other comments, and everything else. Without this valuable input, Slackware would be nowhere near what it is today. Special thanks to the CREW, to the people developing and testing for slackbuilds.org (where many of Slackware's future additions are first built and tested), and to everyone on linuxquestions.org, various #slackware or ##slackware IRC channels, other Slackware related web sites, and other places where the community shares their needs and concerns with the team. On behalf of everyone here, thanks.
We think you'll enjoy this new release, and hope that you'll find it to be much more than 0.1 better than Slackware 12.0. ;-)
Have fun! -P.

Always a good day when the next stable version of Slackware is released. If only the Get Slack link on slackware.com was working I would start the torrent download right away.

Thank you very much for the link Alien.

Thanks to Pat and all the Slackware Crew that keep this up for us too. I smell an upgrade as soon as I get done with finals :-)

Too bad I have exams still (:(), but I'll likely go for it after (:)).

I would like to personally thank Pat V and the rest of the Team in providing the Linux community with another outstanding release!!

Also, the whole SlackBuild Team needs to be recognized too!! If you go to slackbuilds.org now, you will see that there is a plethora of packages available for 12.1

Today's payday, need to make my donation to Slackware (Pat) when I get home. (hint hint)

I do not see a "Donations" area for SlackBuilds, is there one?

Thanks!!

Ilgar 05-02-2008 05:51 PM

Yay :). Many thanks to Pat and all people who contributed to this release...

You can find the donations link in the Slackware store:

http://store.slackware.com/cgi-bin/store/slackdonation

Start clicking, load up your cart and send what you can.
