GET WELL SOON PATRICK!!!MAY THE GOD BE WITH YOU!

MikeZila 11-19-2004 04:07 PM

There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said.

Pat is the reason I use Linux. If it hadn't been for Slackware I would have just given up on the whole thing and jumped back into the Windows flock. I hope he gets well soon. I feel like I should do something, even though I've never met him personally, and the only part of my life he has effected are the 1's and 0's in my computer, I feel like a close friend is in the hospital. Pat needs to forget all about Slackware until his health returns to him. His well being is far more important than our computers.

I hope and pray with every once of my being that he gets well as fast as the human frame will allow.

I plan on buying Slackware from now on.

Damn, who'd have thought all that came from not cleaning your teeth. Glad to read that it's treatable and all will be well in the fullness of time.

Probably the worst part for Pat will be being stuck on an AOL dial up :-)

I, along with many, many others, only truely converted to Linux because of Slackware.

All the best and hope for a speedy recovery.

ganja_guru 11-20-2004 06:01 AM

slack's not as important as your health, Pat. GET WELL SOON!

Bluesuperman 11-20-2004 11:56 AM

I my self am a Slackware user ... it was the distro I started with and have stuck with. Once upon a time I did look at other distro's ...but I have always stuck with Slack.

But as many have said before me Pat. your health is more important then any software, get well soon. If you are reading this thread, I am sure you will feel better knowing that everyone in the linux community is behind you and are awaiting your return.

Best wishes, I am sure the God's are watching over you.

Michael.

Bluesuperman 11-20-2004 12:10 PM

Not sure if this helps or not ... I was reading online about natural remedies and found that scientists suggest that a daily intake of 5,000 milligrams of Vitamin C. can help out your white blood cells in attacking infections such as Actinomyces.

Now obviously I am not recommanding this as a treatment ... but taking that much Vitamin C may help the process along ... or at least make you feel better.

Michael.

I had sent him some mail the day that you had created this thread.

Bluesuperman, Vit. C might well be an answer, although it has unfortunate side effects, but Pat is in the grip of conventional medicine, which "treats" disease.

Healing or curing requires something else.

Unfortunately, no. I chose to go to the Mayo Clinic having heard so many
good things, and they're becoming convinced I have Marfan's Syndrome,
which is a crock. I have good foot arches, perfect eyesight, no sign of
scoliosis, and never had any detectable heart problems until today's exam
which found a fairly serious murmur (probably in fact endocarditis), and
which none of the other docs including a very sharp internal medicine guy
could detect last week, but is now obvious to everyone. I'm quite afraid
I'm going to die here because they won't take a chance on the IV drip.

Wish I had a better report. They've done absolutely nothing to rule out
an anerobic infection, and the heart pains are getting more severe every
hour. With Marfan's, you are born with a defective heart. It's such a
red herring that I'm stunned. Sad

Hope this isn't my last email.

Pat

Man, we got to do something, collect money, demonstrate, write letters, whatever, to get those antibiotics or whatever he needs.

WilliamS 11-21-2004 05:35 PM

The way to heal this problem is:

1- Stop poisoning with modern food.

2- Remove (delete) the accumulated burden of poisons of years, which make this disease possible.

3- Support the immune system with the right stuff - air, food, water, sunlight, supportive persons (love).

This has worked for everyone who has ever had the courage to try it. What a pity that he has put his faith in ignorant M.D.s.

sounds like " they " don't know what exactly is wrong with Pat, so maybe it's time for a second opinion.
but it's clear that he is feeling very ill, and i really hope he gets over this.
