well I got some updates, my gf did some networking (she knows alot of people) and found a Dr. in Antwerp that specializes in that very kind of disease. So she gave him a ring and Pat said he was on his way to a clinic to see about a surgery he will need. If they fail to help he'll try to contact this Dr. in Antwerp.

Also he was quite suprised that my gf was a girl who knew about his work... lol

Oh, some other good news is that the Dr. my gf talked to said that the disease is curable with treatment. So hopefully everything will be fine!

Pat, you should not even be worrying about Slackware at this point in time. You, and your families well being is all that matters, everything else is secondary. Slackware users are not going anywhere. We will be here whenever you get back. I hope that you get well soon.

Besides i firsted off with slackware i jus wont feel right using another distro.
No offences to ne other distro. Everythang has its place.

I don't think he needs financial help, he said he was not looking for donations in the pat needs help file.
