Any issues connecting IPad 1sGen to machine running Puppy 525?
Just curious as ive just acquired an IPad 1. I know what youre thinking!? Guys first ever post and he starts asking about friggin apple products. Trust me the only reason I have it is for work purposes, it's very handy and android just isn't quite there yet in terms of speed on typing, keyboard responsiveness, spellcheck etc. I have to say I've held out for years, I'll admit mostly because of the ludicrous asking price for the damn things but since getting one I've finally grasped why so expensive, why have I been struggling with linux and android for so long??? I know the answer as most of you out there will too. I'm a linux hobbyist, I don't do it for money. If I did my children would have died of starvation! No I love Linux and inthe past 5 years I've learnt more about operating systems, (Linux)than I have since leaving school and only ever knowing about windows and macintosh as it used to be called if I remember correctly?! Things have come a long way and I know I have strayed completely form the point but can out tell I'm just itching to start that blog, even of it is the rambling of a lunatic?! So without further ado, anyone have any issues between the old iPad 1 and puppy 525? Look fwd to any info even if it's nothing to do with issues, in fact the more pros the better?! ;-)

I can tell you I needed Windows to manage my iPad when I got it and to update iOS to a version capable of being updated and functioning without the need for a computer. I also needed something called ipad_charge to even charge the thing under Linux since Apple decided that the USB specifications were just suggestions to be ignored.
As I see it Apple are a horrible company who make horrible products aimed at getting people to buy more of their horrible products. I did try my best to leave any prejudice behind when I was given my iPad but the experience of using it was largely one of boucing off the walls of Apple's garden.

Must disagree Apple build quality is good it was how limited it was when it asked for my credit card number when needing to setup and account on the Ipad I had so gave it away. As for their computers the build quality is wonderful.
However what you want to do should be answered by this thread
