Wine
Hi
I have installed mandrake 9.1 and installed wine with everything, even the utilities, but i just can't seem to find a way to use wine or to even configure it? Any help would be great so i can start using some of my win apps. Christian |
If you install winex you have GUI. Winesetuptk is a configuration utility for wine. If you have the command version of wine just run "wine theexecutable.exe"
Hope that helps |
Many applications prefer to be started from within their directory, so if an app doesn't start well (or at all) with "wine /path/to_the/executable/program.exe", try opening a terminal, cd-ing to the directory holding the program, and then type "wine programname.exe".
Running Wine from a terminal also gives you a chance to see the output if something goes wrong (as it so often does with Wine :( ) |
Thanks i will try that.
