Wine

Hi

I have installed mandrake 9.1 and installed wine with everything, even the utilities, but i just can't seem to find a way to use wine or to even configure it?

Any help would be great so i can start using some of my win apps.

If you install winex you have GUI. Winesetuptk is a configuration utility for wine. If you have the command version of wine just run "wine theexecutable.exe"
Hope that helps

Many applications prefer to be started from within their directory, so if an app doesn't start well (or at all) with "wine /path/to_the/executable/program.exe", try opening a terminal, cd-ing to the directory holding the program, and then type "wine programname.exe".

Running Wine from a terminal also gives you a chance to see the output if something goes wrong (as it so often does with Wine :( )
