Ubuntu printer install
 

I just installed Ubuntu 8.04 and have followed the directions of opening the needed driver (3.12.6.run in terminal). However at step 10 conflict resolutions I get a message "Package install command failed with error code 100". How do I correct the error code? I have tried installing newer versions of Ubuntu but my computer installer will not complete the install, so this is a last resort.
