stable browser with support for Chat needed
I have ongoing problems in getting a stable browser that support chat (based on Java).
I have tried Mozilla, Netscape-communicator 4.75 and 4.77, Netscape 6.2.1, Opera 5.1 and 6.0, installed OpenMotif etc.... on several machines and with several recent and older OS-versions. Opera is very nice but I cannot make it support Java, required for chat. Netscape is completely useless (on several machines and several re-installations) because it crashes as soon as I try to enter a chatroom. As soon as I can chat with my Linux-PC's (Mandrake 7.2, RedHat 6.2, 7.0 and 7.1) or OpenBSD, I no longer need a Microsucks Windoze PC with Internet exploiter, and all my PCs will be free forever. Who can help me ? PLEASE ? |
What version of java did you install?
