Exclamation stable browser with support for Chat needed

I have ongoing problems in getting a stable browser that support chat (based on Java).

I have tried Mozilla, Netscape-communicator 4.75 and 4.77, Netscape 6.2.1, Opera 5.1 and 6.0, installed OpenMotif etc.... on several machines and with several recent and older OS-versions.

Opera is very nice but I cannot make it support Java, required for chat.
Netscape is completely useless (on several machines and several re-installations) because it crashes as soon as I try to enter a chatroom.

As soon as I can chat with my Linux-PC's (Mandrake 7.2, RedHat 6.2, 7.0 and 7.1) or OpenBSD, I no longer need a Microsucks Windoze PC with Internet exploiter, and all my PCs will be free forever.

Who can help me ?
PLEASE ?

Hello

chat works!!!

i 'm using red hat 7.1 with opera 6 tp2 and java.

go to

http://www.opera.com/linux/docs/plugins/instplug.html

then download

1 motif

2 java http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/jre/download-linux.html

3 opera

and follow the instructions on opera's plugin

perhaps it won't work

then edi the file /usr/bin/opera go to the path that opera follows to
find the netscape plugins by default the name of the version of java won't be the good one so change it.

then set minne type in opera's menu.

every thing is very well explains on opera's web site don't worry

I'm chating with JavaTM 2 Runtime Environment v1.3.1_01, Standard Edition

Hope this ''ll help you.
