phpmyadmin installation on fedora

i am trining to get phpmyadmin like

http://localhost/webdb/ on browser then i am getting

Authantication Required Dialog

A username and password are being requested by http://localhost. The site says: "phpMyAdmin localhost"

asking username and password

i don't known username and password here, i tried with
user name: root password : none
user name: root password: srinath (my root login)

then also i am getting wrong username/password. Access denaied error

please tell me the solution to get phpmyadmin

First, I hope you realize that you JUST PUT YOUR ROOT PASSWORD ON THE INTERNET.
