Online update configuration

I have just had SuSe 10.1 installed and was trying to register and configure my online updater, but have a major problem with Novell not allowing a profile to be edited, which is mine and no one else's. There is no human contact given to overide the idiot server! Please advise.

I used to work with Suse only for a while, so I cannot give you a useful advise. But if you are seeking for a new distribution, have a look at Ubuntu (with GNOME) or Kubuntu (with KDE) - www.ubuntu.com. It is easy to install, use and support. It also automatically updates itself without registrations or what soever. I'm sure you'll like it :)

Good luck!

To the individual who sent me the info on Ubuntu, my SuSe Linux crashed and I had to reinstall for the 4th time in about 3 days. I have one question, do they send a dvd or do you have to have one available for the download?:newbie:
