Online update configuration

I have just had SuSe 10.1 installed and was trying to register and configure my online updater, but have a major problem with Novell not allowing a profile to be edited, which is mine and no one else's. There is no human contact given to overide the idiot server! Please advise.

I used to work with Suse only for a while, so I cannot give you a useful advise. But if you are seeking for a new distribution, have a look at Ubuntu (with GNOME) or Kubuntu (with KDE) - www.ubuntu.com. It is easy to install, use and support. It also automatically updates itself without registrations or what soever. I'm sure you'll like it

To the individual who sent me the info on Ubuntu, my SuSe Linux crashed and I had to reinstall for the 4th time in about 3 days. I have one question, do they send a dvd or do you have to have one available for the download?

ubuntu will ship you a cd or dvd for free. Just got to their website and press the shipit link.
