Try this one for your 32bit system..

i didn't notice any improvement in system performance. What is that package for?

Do you have any more issues?
When I put "VLC" in my post this "package" relates to playing films.

just that backspace isn't working...so I'm working with <ALT>Left instead.

You might need to change your keyboard in settings..

Have you got the right settings for your keyboard?
Your keyboard might have changed to another language, just go into settings to change it.

I see you have "(gtk_accel_path "<actions>/ShellActions/Up" "BackSpace")" listed but it seems that it is missing a space as in the example I have put below.

Add this "Backspace" key code to see if it will work:
You might need to add also (from looking at the list) ";" without the quotes.
Example: ; (gtk_accel_path "<actions>/ShellActions/Up" "BackSpace")

(gtk_accel_path "<actions>/ShellActions/Up" "BackSpace")

Make sure you add "(gtk_accel_path "<actions>/ShellActions/Up" "BackSpace")" to "~/.config/nautilus/accels" as well (without the quotes) .

It might work, it might not.

Have you got another keyboard to test out to find if it is the keyboard or not?

it worked..!!
i added both and restarted shell...and it is working now..
