Hi...

As longs as you're using a 32 bit version of Ubuntu, you can download the .deb installer from here.

Why? There are MANY native Linux PDF readers already available. A brief Google search turns up MANY, such as an article from the Ubuntu forums:

and there SHOULD already be installed your OS's default pdf reader

libreoffice or openoffice or GoOffice
or any of the others

Obviously, it's best to use a Linux-native PDF program, but I've run into situations when Acrobat was needed...
