fedora 20: remote desktop is empty

I have been able to get a remote desktop connection from a windows 7 machine to a fedora 20 machine but the remote desktop is empty and does not display the open windows on the original fedora 20 machine. The remote desktop is also a different resolution to the fedora 20 machine, On the remote screen I've checked the user name in the upper right corner and it is the same username as on fedora 20 machine. In the remote connection I am using the same username and password as on the fedora machine. Here is my xrdp.ini file:
Code:
[globals]
bitmap_cache=yes
bitmap_compression=yes
port=3389
crypt_level=high
channel_code=1
max_bpp=24

[xrdp1]
name=sesman-Xvnc
lib=libvnc.so
username=<my-username>
password=<my-password>
ip=127.0.0.1
port=-1
can anyone tell me how I get this to work properly? I've been on this for hours trying different things and it's a major headache. I should be able to see all activity on the fedora 20 machine as it happens. Thanks for any help.

Anything in ~/.xsession-errors or /var/log/Xorg* or XRDP (service) logs that could contain clues?

thanks for your response, no I can't see anything in those logs. I've been trawling google but there's nothing about this particular problem anywhere. There must be a way to sort this out, it's driving me batty.

Then try running XRDP in debug mode. That should be 'xrdp -ns' and/or 'xrdp-sesman -ns'.

thankyou again for responding, I managed to solve this issue by dropping xrdp and tigervnc altogether and using x11vnc. It worked first time.
