"commands not found" errors when installing on Suse 9.0
'Running SuSE 9 pro and there is an issue with installing certain programs, including apache2, ./INSTALL starts but during the install comes up with a bunch of 'commands not found' the same with jdk1.4.2.
Is this an OS issue? did I install wrong? or are there compatibility issues? are there changes to the script that i need to make? |
is it a "root" question?
are you logged in as root when you run the program. When not, one often gets "command not found" messages - just a thought - i don't really know much :)

ur instalation directory must contain all packages...somthg similar happened to me and all i did was download the packages...and reinstall of course
My directory contains exactly 6589 files and 106 folders, in a total of 7.682.091.867 bytes :) I dont know if thats the problem but try it! Mine isnt suse 9.0 pro...just the not professional one plain suse 9.0! :D |
was that with the package version of apache2 that came with suse 9?
|
Well, is it telling you what command is not found? If it is, check to see if Suse installs that particular piece of software by default.
