Unhappy bios boot trouble

after making an iso stick with ubuntu 16.04, yesterday got finally the stick working, but the trouble with ubi-partman code 10. After studying your installation guide and the ubuntuforum re. ubi partman, disabled fast start, secure boot and csm, but my Asus H61M-F does not allow cms disabling, so enabled it again and got the following options on Žboot device controlŽUefi + legacy OpRom first, legacy OpRom only or Uefi driver only. made a new iso stick with ubuntu 16.04-desktop-amd64 with unetbootin windows 625, because I had to download it with windows PC. Helas it still isnŽt working. Apreciate some help, am in Portugal so the other options under csm will not work e.g. networking etc.

I think I'd get some form of raw write program in windows to use the bit by bit method of copying to a usb. Not sure what all is available but dd4windows or rawritewin or win(something) will copy an iso image to a usb drive. The ISO on Ubuntu LTS is the one you should start with.

I only tried rufus one time. While it didn't work for what I wanted, I do believe it is a good choice to try and a possible solution.
