another apache question

I'm pretty much a newbie to linux and web servers. I've got Red Hat 8 on one of my computers on my network. I finally got it to where I load the html pages using a browser on my other computer on the same network. My problem is, I can't get it to work for people outside of my network. I'm on a cable connection and I have a Linksys router, disabled all the firewall stuff in the router, stopped the firewall in Linux too. In the router, I also set it to forward port 80 to the IP of the server computer. Then I also set the DMZ to that computers IP too, but nobody can access it from outside of my house. Any ideas you could throw out would be great. Thanks.

What error do you get or users trying to access your site? What cable company as some will block port 8080? Try setting it up to listen on port 8080 and forward that to your server thru the router. Then specify port 8080 in your address like http://<ip or domain-name>:8080 and see if it reaches your server. If it does, you can probably guess its not your network but your ISP then.

right now, they get this page can not be found error. I'll try the port 8080. The router had port 80 listed as http and that's what I always thought http used. I put the servers ip into the DMZ host box in the router though, which is supposed to make it like it is directly connected to the cable modem, no protection at all. My provider is a local company and I don't think they are blocking web servers.
