I'm trying to find out if its possible to have separate output's on the serial console and the screen console.

Currently I have the serial console being attached with grub so that the boot messages get output to the serial console; this is perfect, except that when the server completes it's boot process, the output for "tty0" gets sent to the serial console instead of the screen and on the screen, nothing gets shown, essentially a blank screen.

What I'm wanting to achieve is to have the serial console showing the boot messages with the screen showing the splash (via plymouth) and then once booting has completed, present a separate login prompt to both serial console and screen console (with serial console being the primary, so that if, for example, the kernel panics, it would be printed out to the serial console).

Can anyone point me in the right direction here?
