Removing items from mod mem cache

I'm looking into using mod mem cache on an Apache load balancer/reverse proxy. I've found plenty of tutorials about setting it up, but I'm having trouble finding information on managing caching. In particular I would like to know if a specific page or file can be removed from cache in case I need to update it. Do I just need to wait for files to expire before updates will be visible to the outside world?

I figured it out. Instead of using mod mem cache, I'm going to use mod disk cache, and rely on Linux's IO buffering capabilities to keep the contents of cache in memory. htcleancache can be use to remove items from disk cache.
