Linux on Cisco UCS host - Storage migration

Hi Admins,

I am not sure if this is this right sub-forum to ask this question.

We are going to have a storage migration for some physical RedHat Linux 5.11 servers sitting on Cisco UCS hosts.

I am looking for the OS perspective steps that I need to do before & after I get the new set of storage on the box...

Please advise.

Thanks in advance...

More info needed.

If root VG resides on local UCS disks and only data on external LUNs and you've used LVM for these LUNs, then migration will be easy.
If Linux do boot from SAN, or you've formatted LUN without LVM, migration may be headache.
