Running Guarddog
Hello,To all
Well i thing i have guarddog installed but how do i run it please at there site they say to look for g/d in KDE menu but i don't see anything there for g/d please help me Thank you |
I run kde, and its in there on mine. Its under the sytem part of the menu. If its not there, just update your menu list, which is under the settings part of the menu.

Hello,short101
No i don't see it anyware hmmm do i have this installed or not ???? how would i know but i thank you for your time |
type guarddog in the "Run command"
or in the konsole |
You will have to be root to run it as well, and probably need to use
'gksu gaurddog' as command otherwise it probably wont open a window. You can look in /usr/bin and guarddog should be in there. Did you update your menu? |

Hey.All
I just did the Run Command & used the root password & not a thing happens now when i do a file search it comes up so it should be installed right ???? or did i miss something in the install part how can i tell if it was installed Thank you |
Any reasson you downloaded the guarddog app from a website and not from suse's pakacge system?
It would work better this way. Not sure if guarddog is there but usually comes with most distros...no need for downloading anything. Personally I use firestarter....i think its easier.(also in package system) Just for shits and giggles check "lost & found" but since you compiled and installed from tarball or source who knows where you put it;) |
