i want to install eclipse on my ubuntu 12.04LTS

Thanks i got it .. but when i opened it i got this
An error has occurred. See the log file /home/user/.eclipse/org.eclipse.platform_3.7.0_155965261/configuration/1387034588893.log.

I don't understand what you mean. What exactly did you "open" and how did you "open" it?
Did you look at the log file as suggested? What did it say?

Not really, this thread was about how to install. He did and then got the second error. He tagged it onto this thread but it kinda sorta is a new issue. Then he started the new thread about the second issue only.

You mean that the installation issue has been resolved? Is this thread still open or is it closed? No hint from the OP.

I read it as he has it installed but when he runs it he receives the error listed (which we have asked in the other thread as well, for him to read the log). So, the way I read it, this thread is solved but the other one is still open.
