unable to boot and install rhel6 form pendrive using dd command
 
hi everybody,
i have google and found this dd if=path/image_name.iso of=device for booting and installing linux using pendrive.


i have done the following

dd if=./rhel6.iso of=/dev/sdc1

where sdc1 is my 4gb pendrive and my bois support boot from pendrive but i was unable to boot and install linux in my desktop. how can i install rhel6 using pendrive.
can anybody guide me right way because iam new to linux.if someone guide me i'll be greatful.

Don't know where you got that command, but Google pulls up much more information, as would a search on this very site.

This is a several-step process, and it's well documented. And AGAIN, if you are not going to PAY FOR RedHat Enterprise, you should NOT BE USING IT, and this has been explained to you several times. You have not addressed it, or said WHY you need RHEL. Unless this is to fit a very specific need, use CentOS instead.
