It seems that you didn't specified that which will be your default GUI interface. Symphony OS has Mezzo desktop interface which use FVWM window manager.
In terminal, login as root and try : fvwm config Configure your interface and then try startx. this should solve your problem. |
it said inviald option when i did fvwm config in the terminal
|
can you please post screen output here ?
|
it just said inviald option then said fvwm usage and showed all the option and what they did i tired each one and siad it couldnt find the config file
so then i loaded my live cd it loaded fine then i copied the x11 directoriy to the etc/x11 on my hard drive thinking that sice it loaded fine it would work but now it loades then startx x windows itself and goes to a black screen and that it would it have to do with my installtion becuase i used the debian version rather then choosing the knoppix version or same as cd version i also couldnt find the file that mentions default window manager |
