sound not working..........
 
hey guys plz help me .....

today i have install MX-14.3-pae.iso (anti x linux) but sound is not working...
my laptop default sound card is damage so i use GENRIC USB AUDIO MIXER (USB SOUND CARD).
so HOW CAN SET MY USB SOUND CARD AS DEFUALT SOUND CARD TO HERE SOUND.

HOW TO FIX THIS SOUND PROBLEM .....THANKS

First of all please do not use all-caps sentences or words because that is impolite.
Since Anti X is based on Debian try the commands shown here: http://www.debianhelp.co.uk/sound.htm then post both the exact commands and output in your reply.

See if you have the program pavucontrol. If you can't find it in the menu, just type it's name in a terminal and see if it runs. If it doesn't, install it: AntiX does have it in the repository. That program should show you your devices and you can select the one you want as the default — and set the volume, too.

has been known on some operating systems to install with the sound set to " mute"

it is a small bug

Pavucontrol has three buttons for each device found:
1. Link volume control for both channels: should normally be on.
2. Mute: should be off.
3. Make default: set "on" for the required device.

Of course, it does depend on the OS recognising all the devices. I've heard of Debian-based distros having trouble with Bluetooth and USB sound, but plug-in cards should be OK.
