I am absolutely brand new to this OS and I have no windows so do not remember sound card type. This is a Toshiba L675D Any help appreciated and hope I do not have to delete it because it seems great OS |

lshw Can you listen to other sounds that are not from the browser? try to open some file. P.S. Once I installed mint on my neighbour's notebook(cuz wanted some system being linux but do not frightened her - she was a "blonde" in PC's :))... that system lived only a few hours-despite she liked it but since that I almost hate that distro... :D I would not say that it's so great anyway... |
What do you get when you try alsamixer?
