I've had the same problem.

Have you been to: http://www.mirror.ac.uk/sites/ftp.sl...odoo4_voodoo5/

Well i did get KDE running, but i wasn't able to get Hardware Accelerated OpenGL.

Have you tried the drivers from xfree86 ?

i have a voodoo card also and the hardware accelerated is working fine with those drivers. Im having an average output of 1200fps.

Im using the TDFX driver that is from Slackware, to get Xfree86 to inintally run.

As for the hardware acceleration support, i've tried using DRI.

When i run the GLXGEARS demo, i get 1000+fps, however when i run Unreal Tournament, its like 5seconds per frame. Somethings wrong here ... but i don't know what it is. Another problem is, i can't use the Glide Renderer.

Unreal Tournament 2003 complains about OpenGL relies on S3TC / DXTC, anyone know about it ?

Im running Slackware 8.1. Maybe you might be using an older verison of Slackware, which might not proably support Voodoo4.
