Not able to resize the lvm
 
Hi everyone,

I am having redhat server and i am adding a new storage to it.....I want to add 7.2TB and I am able to do upto vgextend and I am not able to do resize ....my file system is ext3..

can anyone tell me the solution for this.....

After you extend the lv you have to then extend the file system. To extend the file system you must unmount the FS first. Then you can run. Try it let me know.Remember to always backup first :)


# ext3resize /dev/myvg/homevol
# mount /dev/myvg/homevol /home
