NIC driver install problem
Ok, I don't have my previous problem anymore. I got Redhat installed, but now I have a new problem.
Apparently I need to compile the files to install the network card somehow, and I have no clue how and I cant seem to find anything telling me how. Could anyone tell me, or show me where i could find info on making an install for the NIC drivers? |
Enlighten us about make * model of the device
in question? And where/how did you get the drivers? Have you read the README presumably bundled with them? Cheers, Tink |
Its the "Intel 82559" onboard LAN for the Asus CUV4X-DLS. I got the drivers from Intel.com. Yes I did read the documentation, but the problem is I have no idea how to make an install batch or whatever. I guess I'm too used to .exe :(

You won't need to do anything in this case (I
wouldn't think so, anyway) ... that should work with the stock eepro100 module ... Have a look at the output of lsmod If it doesn't report a eepro100 try a modprobe eepro00 Cheers, Tink |
And, did it work?
