Any ideas where I can get this Apple Laserwriter Plus driver? The website I thought I could download it from sent me to HP website and HP sent me to the Linux website to download the hplip. Not helpful since I already did that. I have been to several websites but most want me to download drivers detective and I don't want to download that just the driver.

I believe the driver is included with the CUPS installation. No need to download.

My computer died. I was told to shut down take out my hard drive and boot up from Live CD. My computer would not boot up from Live CD so we put the hard drive back in and it is no longer being recognized.

My computer was pretty old. I think I purchased it in 2003 or 2004. Anyway I am building a new one but my parts will not be here until next Thursday. It was probably my stupid Dell hardware all along not allowing me to use my printer. Hopefully a new computer will help. I hope so.

So until my new computer is built I will not know.

I will however let everyone know if my printer works afterwards. I would like for this to be resolved if anyone should have the same problem in the future with their printer.

Thanks guys.

When you rebuild, add your user to the lp group. Newer versions of hplip require users to be a member of that group.
