i have a question 'bout ejecting the hdd..why is it that you have to log-in first as root before you eject the hdd? do you have any idea how to eject the hdd as an ordinary user...lol..:D

btw, im refering to the command line...as what i've learned, the user has no acces to this command "eject /dev/hdd"...you have to log-in first as a root in order to activate the command(using the "su" then type the root password)...

Huh? I don't need to do that? Did you right-click on the drive and select "unmount" first?

no no, im using the command line..im refering to the command used in ejecting the hdd...like "eject /dev/hdd"...
