Configuration of TVCard
Hi,
I am using an AVerMedia TVCard (Bt878). When I start XAWTV I am not able to get any channels. I tried the xawtv -hwscan command and the output seems correct. The TV Card is found. I also tried to run scantv to search for all the channels and create a .xawtv configuration file, but even with this configuration file there is no reception, when I start xawtv (I run a dualboot system and under WinXP I can watch TV, so I assume, that everything is hooked up correct). Does anyone have an idea? Thanks and best regards, Martin. |
make sure you run v4l-conf first. if that reports the card as found, then it should be working fine. just make sure you use the correct settings in the program. also is the card actaully set up in /etc/modules.conf?

Thanks for your idea.
I ran v4l-conf and I get the following output. v4l-conf v4l-conf: using X11 display :0 dga: version 2.0 mode: 1024x768, depth=24, bpp=32, bpl=4096, base=0xd0000000 /dev/video0 [v4l2]: ioctl VIDIOC_QUERYCAP: Invalid argument done I also checked the modules.conf File and there is an entry regarding the TV card, but I do not know, if this is a correct one. alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc alias eth0 tulip alias eth1 ne2k-pci alias sound-slot-0 via82cxxx_audio post-install sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -L >/dev/null 2>&1 || : pre-remove sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -S >/dev/null 2>&1 || : alias sound-slot-1 audio post-install sound-slot-1 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -L >/dev/null 2>&1 || : pre-remove sound-slot-1 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -S >/dev/null 2>&1 || : alias char-major-81 bttv alias usb-controller usb-uhci Maybe you have an idea....
