Weird problem copying files with Samba...

Pretty basic really but I'm lost as to what can be causing this and where to start looking...

Windows XP SP2 Laptop and SuSE 9.2 on Gnome on the Desktop.

Running Samba and both computers see each other fine.

I can browse files, view files, etc just fine. The problem comes in copying.

I can copy a file from Windows to Linux with no problems what so ever no matter the size. If I try to copy a 200MB file from Linux to Windows, it get's about 20ish percent in and just slows down and stalls every time.

What should I look at for this, never had this kind of problem before but then again...this is the first time I've used Samba to connect a Linux and Windows box.

Are you using SATA drives on the SuSE box?

I had this EXACT same problem:

I had to pull the SATA drives and go with PATA drives and the problem went away.

Actually, my drive is IDE on my desktop (SuSE box).
