Unable to connect with AT&T USBConnect Momentum 4G

Hello, when I insert the Sierra Wireless AirCard 313U USB cellular modem into my Ubuntu 9.04 laptop, I receive the following:

Code:

don@ibmu:/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections$ tail /var/log/messages

The power LED keeps cycling between flashing amber (searching for service) and solid blue (working normally). When plugged into a Windows machine, the LED is just solid blue.

I had followed the procedure described here to install the appropriate sierra and sierra_net drivers for my kernel version (2.6.28):

http://mycusthelp.net/SIERRAWIRELESS...OZHXWH&aid=44#

It seems like the proper driver is loaded, but something goes wrong in the setup. Twice, by chance, the modem worked normally (solid blue power LED and flashing green data LED) when plugged in, but I have been unable to reproduce it.

Has anyone had any luck getting this modem to work in Linux?

Don

Although, the LED behavior is still a mystery, and something I would like to understand and remedy, I was eventually able to connect, as described in this thread: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...3u-4175422042/
