mail server setup
I need a mail server for my class
I have been able to get the smtp side to work but can't get pop3 to work. I am running fedora 3 Sendmail Dovecot I have been in the dovecot.conf file but I must be missing one of those little details that make us nuts! Anyone have a quick basic setup so I can send and recieve mail just inside my classroom. I need to teach how to setup mail clients (my districts firewall prohibits access to outside mail servers) security is not an issue Any suggestions would be great1 |
Try running nmap localhost and confirm that port 110 and 25 are listening. If pop3 is not running and you are using the inetd server edit the /etc/inetd.conf file to start that service. Then restart the inetd daemon.
