distinguish wired NIC or wireless NIC in C language


for a given ethernet NIC hardware address, is there a way I can distinguish if it is wired or wireless ?
I can't distinguish basing on name as name can be custom assigned.

There are numerous approaches/answers online if you care to search. I'm not a programmer, but here's some C code which should do the job...
