DHCP is flaking

Including today(Thursday) and yesterday, the DHCP from Comcast has been flaky. Over the night it seems to drop the lease and then I have to manually renew it. Does this sound like a problem with Comcast, DHCP specs, or my lovely box?

Thanks in advance.

hmmm

Typically speaking, dhcpcd should automagically renew. Is there anything in the logs from dhcpcd indicating a problem?

If the DHCP *servers* are flaky you can't possibly hope to have a good net experience. Time to pick up the phone...

its probably the isp.. time warner seems to have trouble every once in a while.. like, ill have the same ip for 4 or 5 months, then within a week it may change a half dozen times.. then itll stop and ill keep the ip for months.. i change nothing on my box.. ?? though i never really have to run dhcpcd to refresh unless i fuk somthing up..
