dhcp issue - corrupt lease file message

hello ppl.
im having this problem when trying to connect via my ethernet card.
i see during bootup a message which says "corrupt data loss - possible data loss" just before it tries to get an ip address using dhcp.
and yes, there is definitely loss there, cos its a T3 giving me download speeds of <10kbps.

anyone had this problem before? or has ideas i can try to rectify it/

thanks in advance.

i am also using a pcmcia wireless card, but do not load the interface during boot (i do an ifconfig eth1 up after boot for it.)
i have tried with the wireless card not loaded at all with the same results.

anybody have any ideas to resolve this?

sounds like a bad module to me.

I've certainly seen p/loss due to a bad ethernet cable too.

Edit Just noticed you said you're using wireless, so you've tried wireless & wired and both result in p/loss?

i cant say about packet loss from some statisitc. if i ping them, i get no loss. but seeing a T3 which used to give me 300kbps now give me 10kbps ... its perceptible.
how would i be able to check the packet loss thing apart from ping?
