I know your only 14 but dang, actually pay attention in english class and learn some spelling and grammer.

If the cd isn't bootable and you don't have access to a floppy drive, well... Your screwed and not getting windows back on it. If it has usb you can get/borrow someones usb floppy drive but most likely the computer won't be able to boot from that either.

Since the windows 2000 cd apparantly was bootable(?) you could try running fdisk in that and deleting everything. Then shut it all down and start the setup over again so its got a blank hard drive to work with.

The Only Problem is How do i run Fdisk am i just going to type
C:/ fdisk
and it should work? causes all the commands i get dont have fdisk just delete and formate and they dont work.

Download a win 98 boot disk on a floppy

http://www.bootdisk.com/

run it and will install it to a floppy if you have a windows machine to get it with, boot to that and will get a dos prompt

And it's grammar I believe :p

try a bootable partitioner, like bootIt NG www.terabyteunlimited.com. That way you can wipe the hard drive, and then re-install

Why pick on others, when your spelling/grammar really isn't all that hot either?

It's bootable, however, it asks everytime you boot it up to install it on the harddrive, I alway say no, but if you want to go ahead. Wiping the hard drive with this utility takes, a while so be warned. Sorry to hear you're leaving linux, I personally have both linux and windows installed on my laptop. I also use debian, if you have a large enought harddrive, when you get windows, re-installed, think about dual booting. It's a great way to learn linux without losing windows.

Oh, and by the way, I'm 16, so it's not impossible to do.

first of all, can you burn CDs under Debian?

go to http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/purchase.html and click the button in the upper left hand corner, that says "DOWNLOAD" it will download a zip folder, unzip it, burn the iso image to a cd, reboot and it should work

Deanznet 12-21-2004 08:25 PM

Thats it? Easy as that?> I was going to burn the cd under windows xp and than boot it in my laptop.... you got an email i can contact u instead of using this fourm such as hotmail, aim, yahoo

Deanznet 12-21-2004 08:32 PM

I download it and ran the boot.exe i dident change the option besides to make the iso it made it but not to a cd now what do i do i have the iso.......

microsoft/linux 12-21-2004 08:33 PM

yeah, easy as that. mandebian@gmail.com if you really want to, but if we use the forum it allows for other people to see the results, so that if other people have the same trouble, they can search and find the answer

Deanznet 12-21-2004 08:36 PM

yes thats true but its a faster way of contacting you lol
