Xbuntu driver issue for ATI Sapphire R9 280x
 

Hi guys,

I'm in desperate need of help. I am trying to install the drivers for my ATI Sapphire R9 280x onto Xbuntu to use as a litecoin rig and am having major issues installing the drivers. I need assistance urgently and am willing to pay a generous BTC donation or cash donation to anyone who is genuinely interested in assisting.

About your problem: We need more detailed information. What have you tried, where are you stuck, which errors/warnings are you getting.

As 'druuna' stated the need for more information pertaining to your issue(s) is necessary. So;We will help once the whole picture is available. :)

Please consider reading the LQ Rules again so you do not fall into posting predicament(s).

The R9 280x is a fairly new videocard that does not work reliably with any of the drivers in Ubuntu's repositories. You will need to use the latest Beta driver from AMD's website (yes, AMD, this is not an ATI card) to get that running, but even with that driver support from AMD for this card on Linux is sub-par.
