sound card modules has been lost
Recently, I installed `hsfmodem' driver, for my external modem, provided by `linuxant'. The modem is working correctly, but I lost my sound card. Seems that `hsfmodem' replaced sound card modules. When I run `alsaconf', it say that it didn't find any PCI or PnP sound card on my system.
I use Debian Lenny on Acer Extensa 4220 machine, and its manual said that it have an `Intel High Definition Audio'. And `lspic' says that I have a `ICH8 Family' chipset. I can't remember exactly what kind of module was loaded for the sound card before installing `hsfmodem'. That was something like `intel-snd-...'. And now, `lsmod' says that there's no sound module loaded. Any idea? Can you tell me which package should I install in order to restore old sound card modules? |
And ...
`modprobe snd-hda-intel' is not working, say: FATAL: Module snd_hda_intel not found. FATAL: Error running install command for snd_hda_intel |
The problem dosen't solved yet.
Any idea? |
