"No volume control GStreamer plugins and/or devices found"
Just installed new AMD Sempron 3000+ with Abit NF-M2S and can't get any sound, I have tried to use "alsaconf" and got this;
debian:~# alsaconf Unloading ALSA sound driver modules: snd-opl3-lib snd-hwdep snd-cs4231-lib snd-mpu401-uart snd-pcm-oss snd-mixer-oss snd-pcm snd-page-alloc snd-seq-dummy snd-seq-oss snd-seq-midi snd-seq-midi-event snd-seq snd-timer snd-rawmidi snd-seq-device (failed: modules still loaded: snd-opl3-lib snd-hwdep snd-cs4231-lib snd-pcm-oss snd-mixer-oss snd-pcm snd-page-alloc snd-mpu401-uart snd-timer snd-rawmidi snd-seq-device). Building card database... Probing legacy cards.. This may take a few minutes.. Probing: opl3sa2 : FOUND!! yet no sound, I went to my volume control and got this "No volume control GStreamer plugins and/or devices found" "RESOLVED" Just installed "SBT-SP6C 5.1 PCI" sound card and it work out of the box. |
Sounds stupid, but did you try increasing the master & pcm volumes through alsamixer?
If that doesn't work, check to make sure that gstreamer0.10-alsa & gstreamer0.10-plugins-base are installed (or any other gstreamer plugins that seem essential). |
how do I install these plugins?I have the same problem
