IBM ServeRaid 7k debian

I have an Adaptec ServeRAID Controller (rev 07)
Subsystem: IBM ServeRAID 7k (SCSI)
in an eserver xSeries 346 -[884016Y]-

I installed debian wheezy (amd64), but I can't get work any CLI to handle the controller
ipssend (from the IBM support CD) segfaults, and complaining:
"/proc/scsi/scsi: : No such file or directory"

Kernel is the standard 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.65-1+deb7u2 x86_64.

Anyone can help in this?

Ok, I got it!

Compiled a kernel with CONFIG_SCSI_PROC_FS enabled, and now ipssend is working.
I think IBM don't want to release the source code for ipssend, so all we use
these outdated hardwares have to recompile the modern kernels... ( or somebody
could write a new ipssend-like utility which uses the sysfs's features ).

Ipssend

OK so I believe that there is a fair change to get ipssend running again on buster.
who would be able to compile a custom Kernel ? it has be be complied on the machine itself.
Sorry, but I am not very good on that.
