Someone ?

Born^Dead 07-29-2003 06:35 AM

[root@10 Movies]# rpm -i sndconfig-0.70-2.i386.rpm
package sndconfig-0.70-2 is already installed

fancypiper 07-29-2003 07:18 AM

If you have it installed, then open up an x terminal and give these commands:
Code:

phil@uilleann $ su -
Password:
root@uilleann # sndconfig

Running that should configure your sound card.

Born^Dead 07-29-2003 07:39 AM

[tal@10 tal]$ su
Password:
[root@10 tal]# sndconfig
bash: sndconfig: command not found

fancypiper 07-29-2003 07:53 AM

su doesn't give full root power, su - will

Born^Dead 07-29-2003 08:09 AM

ok the sndconfig is finaly work
Ensoniq|5880 AudioPCI
that what he found !
i got creative vibra 129

Born^Dead 07-29-2003 08:10 AM

The Ensoniq|5880 AudioPCI is currently │
│ supported, but yours is currently │
│ disabled. You can possibly fix this by │
│ setting 'PnP OS' to 'no' in your BIOS

fancypiper 07-29-2003 08:15 AM

If Plug and Pray is enabled in BIOS, the settings will be changed on each boot so the card will end up being disabled because of these changes.

On bootup, press the needed keys to enter your BIOS (possibly delete, will vary with mobo mfg) and set PnP OS to no.
