sles terminal not working in vmware
After I installed VMware tools on a SuSE Enterprise server, whenever I try to access a virtual terminal by pressing ctrl-alt-space-f2 , it displays a strange screen, I.E. it looks like I have two terminals with a nigh-unreadable font. Any ideas on how to fix this without removing vmtools? I have VMware Workstation 5.5.3 running on Windows XP. The host is SLES version 9

This might be apples and oranges but it sounds similar enough to suggest...
I do this by default on all of my SLES VM's because (for me) it solves the multiple screen issues. http://www.vmware.com/community/mess...ssageID=541988 Although the article talks about doing this _during_ the install you can easily Add x11i=fbdev to your /boot/grub/menu.lst of an existing VM after the fact. |
Nope. Didn't work :(

I forgot to mention, that you will need to restart your VM after making this change... if you haven't already restarted give it a shot..

It works now. Thanks
