http://s1mp3.atspace.com Their forum is at http://p1.forumforfree.com/s1mp3.html the post in question http://p1.forumforfree.com/linux-on-...281-s1mp3.html What we are trying to do is to make a linux distro to fit on an MP3 player on the main site there is current s1 mp3 firmware you can download to have a look at. To really get started, we need advice off the rest of the linux community! :D Anyone interested can reply here or register to the forum above Thanks in advance Ian |
There are already disto's that will boot off of USB devices, like MP3 players, A lot of distros like SLAX will fit on a Mini-CD and can also be booted fro a USB storage device...
It seems what your attempting is already feasable. KC |
hi kencaz
how are you doing! Ian_Hawdon is talking about making a firmware for the S1 mp3 player, it not about booting linux off the usb pen drive. for your information ---> S1 mp3 player consist of a Z80 core, LCD display, some keys, usb pen drive feature, FM radio, voice recording feature and ofcourse the usb interface. so Ian_Hawdon is talking about porting Linux to that platform not booting the PC over USB. |
We have moved :D
