is there a way to update all the setting to work with the new hardware's without formatting? |
Reconfiguration will work most of the time. It may help to compare statup (error) logging with configuration.

You should be able to redrive the firstboot configurator by passing "reconfig" on the kernel line.
Don't know if it'll fix any/all of your issues. |
is there a command to run it?

If you mean the "by passing "reconfig" on the kernel line" thing then: reboot, in the GRUB menu (up/down) choose your current kernel, press "e" to edit, select (up/down) the line starting with "kernel", press "e" to edit, move to the end of the line (end), put in a space and the word "reconfig", press (esc) to exit edit mode, press "b" to boot. I kind of wonder if running "firstboot" and "kudzu" services manually (check for any blocking settings in /etc/sysconfig/firstboot) would work too?...
