how to update linux configuration after move the HD to anther box
Hello, my laptop crash so to take the HD have linux Fedora 10 and connect it to my other laptop via USB, i update the grub and boot fine. but touchpad, bluetooth, wireless and other stuff doesnt work, the new wireless adaptor is recognized by my linux fedora 10 but not working.
is there a way to update all the setting to work with the new hardware's without formatting?
If you mean the "by passing "reconfig" on the kernel line" thing then: reboot, in the GRUB menu (up/down) choose your current kernel, press "e" to edit, select (up/down) the line starting with "kernel", press "e" to edit, move to the end of the line (end), put in a space and the word "reconfig", press (esc) to exit edit mode, press "b" to boot. I kind of wonder if running "firstboot" and "kudzu" services manually (check for any blocking settings in /etc/sysconfig/firstboot) would work too?...
