I have recently installed my dvd copy of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl (US version, 1.0005) on Ubuntu. When I right click 'XR_3DA' and select 'open with Wine Windows Program Loader', I get a small transparent box in the middle of the screen which makes it look like STALKER is about to run but it then cancels for some reason (no error message). Could anybody please point me in the right direction?
I have the OGSE 0.6.9.2. mod installed if that helps

Reason: Update
Thanks I've gotten a step further by adding the .dll to Wine but now when I right click and "Open with Wine Windows Program Loader", my screen compresses to the side a bit (resolved after restarting) and I get the error message "A crash has been detected by BugTrap".
Things have changed since last time; I now have the OL 2.2 + Arsenal Mod (with merging patch) and the game runs until I run any process that involves a game save (creating or loading one), like starting a new game or entering a new area. I can't find any Thumbs.db files to remove, and I get the same Bugtrap error message as before. Suggestions?
